this is a fantastic game!
i really like the cool character designs, the cute skeleton girl protagonist, her nice face expression/poses in the intro scene and in the game itself,
while i also like the clever combat system of the game, the nice visual designs +hidden parts of the monsters that you fight in the game too!

it was challenging, with good action, nice power ups, a ''light VS battery'' use system, and with a very promising story!

the only issue was when the difficulty ramped up in the end, and i was completely surrounded by stronger monsters in very big crowds.

but apart from that, this game was perfect, fun, and with very cool characters!
(your pixel art is simply superb)

keep it up, and do more cool games like this!

FodderLabs responds:

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for the kind words and appreciation for many aspects of the game! :D

We are happy that Violette is being shown so much love! :)

We will try to make the best games we can! >:D

And all these comments have been very helpful and we have some idea on how to better handle difficulty for the future update. (Let's see if it works! :P)

this is an extremely accurate simulation of the current state of flash crews+ of the usual content of the NG portal. (i mean its a parody yes, but some of those random movie titles are spot on!)

as for the game itself, its nicely scripted, with good upgrades, nice statistics and with some cool upgrades that keep the game interesting and good for longer playing sessions.
i like the gradual texts that you get when the crew gets stronger and with more movies+members, BTW.

its a nice touch, and i like the sharp humour in the whole game.
its good, nicely designed and with proper actionscript work, in all aspects.
keep up the good work, man, and have a happy lockday!

Sir-Davey responds:

Happy lock day to you too bro! Thanks for 5

considering how dress-up games are an age-old tradition of newgrounds (since its early years), this is a tribute game that pleases both NG veterans and CC enthusiasts!
indeed, i loved how you could dress up SBC, apple, orange, raspberry, and the many item/oufit/hat choices in each character, but i also liked the cool eastern eggs/hidden buttons and things in the game, which earned you more scenes+cool stuff in this game.

as a game, it was short and sweet, with good features and many funny medals to earn.
i really liked this CC tribute, so keep up the good job, mrs rena, and
have a happy clockday!

Little-Rena responds:

Thank you very much! I had fun making some of those items, Clock Day is always a blast! Happy late Clock Day! :)

wow, this was a very good pixel-day submission, and a really cool space game!
the visuals of the game were nice, the story was simple but interesting, and the slowly more frequent signs of dead/murdered astronauts that appeared as you walked deeper into the planet, was a clever touch that gradually raised the fear level as you progressed in the game...

also, the astronauts, the planet, the escape pods, and the enemies were nicely designed, and the jump/walk/run mechanics and the physics of this game were excellent, i mean, i had to calculate each jump and step, as the lack of gravity, the smaller ground areas, and the enemies increased.

overall, it was a great game, and i found it nicely drawn, challenging, and with good physics.
keep up the good work, sir!

Thanks for the review bb10

well, this is a nice dating-game, and i liked that it was just like real-life, which means even if you chose all the kind/right/honest options, if you apologised for any naturally good move and if she just didnt like you, every way pointed out to rejection.

i mean, i chose the romantic comedy, i talked about society and how we're making progress with the awesome speech option, i played truth or dare, (in ''truth'', she just didnt like the protagonists advances, while in ''dare'', the protagonist was funny and smooth while dancing, but she still didnt liked him when he did his move later on...wtf?!), and then she had a great time, but ''she really had to go'', which ended in a few failures in my first 2 playthroughs of the game.

eventually, i tried to take the exact same path in my 3rd playthrough, with one major difference:
in the end, right before she wants to leave, i tell her that i would like her to stay in there for a bit longer, then i tell her that i really like her, and then, i did the craziest, most risky thing that a protagonist would do in such a game: i leaned in to kiss her.
and... it worked!
she kissed the protagonist back! i won the game!
she stayed for ''a bit more'', like she said.

so, in conclusion: women are a complete mystery.

and this game truly gives to the player this (accurate) experience.
and its well drawn/designed.

the square dude and the square girl looked like they were 3-D, and their walking movements were fast and quite nice!

this was a good game.

but i would prefer to add a ''scene selection'' option, so that i dont have to wait for the credits/intro to finish...

i would like to be able to choose to play any chapter/part of this game, in a fast way, so that i can choose for more options.
so yeah, a scene selection function would help.

other than that, it was a good game, and it was nicely designed.

good job!

Thank you very much for your thoughtful critique and review! And yes, that's kind of the point I was trying to get across. Relationships are more complicated than "saying all the right things". And sometimes it seems like you're doing the right things, when you're actually not.

wow, this was a nice, fun challenging and enjoyable game!!
i LOVE point-n-click games, so this was obviously a game genre that i would like.
also, the first thing that i noticed in this game, was the nicely drawn characters(really!), the many cool dialogue options with the other game characters(i could talk about many subjects with them, and there were many funny options to choose from in the dialogue box), the excellent tribute-drawing of the pirate guybrush threepwood, and the clever dialogue options with him! (hehehe, i found the ''rip-off'' topic really cool and funny!), but i also liked the subtle tributes to movies such as indiana jones(statue swap scene), king arthur(sword on a stone), lord of the rings(general stereotype of dwarves using only axes), and so many details that kept me entertained for hours!

i also liked that there were 2 main ways to beat the game: one is by cheating, and the other by playing in a fair way.(while thinking outside of the box).

i won by the ''cheating'' way on my first try, and i even found the drunkard(and his debugger item) on my FIRST try! that was amazing...
also, i got the ''fair'' ending with some help from the video walktr., but still, i was just stuck at the ''hero duel'' part, so i played the rest of the game fair and square.
as for the third, ''secret'' hidden ending, it was easy to figure it out.
all i needed was a wizard and a door... (hehehe)

overall, this was a HUGE point-n-click game, with alot of interesting and adorable characters, everything was nicely drawn, you made fun of everything, and in a cool way, you added many good jokes, tributes and references, while you also added some cool dialogue choices, nice hints and cool hidden info about the storyline of the game...

and it had some really cool puzzles. i liked solving them.
the owl+squirrel one at the forest was cool, and i got it! i felt happy when i solved it!

so yeah, i dont know what your opinion about your games, but i totally recommend you to do MORE games like this, and to create more games with your own drawings/drawing your characters on your own...

i mean, its alot better to draw your characters on your own, instead of (just) using sprites.
i mean, sprites are cool and very enjoyable as well, but drawing your characters has some cool ''magic'' in it...
thats all.

all in all, you have nice skills in creating cool and funny point-n-click games, you make good jokes, cool puzzles and adorable characters that will remain in my memory...
i loved seeing ron's crazy adventures in his quest to get back home!
i liked the ant-guards! i also liked the character of zog the troll(the one that was stuck running in the right side of the room), he was clever!
so yeah, you have created a wonderful game, and i would love to see more games like that in the future.
keep up the good work, man! 10/10

Muja responds:

Hey, thanks a lot for your great review, I'm really glad you had fun! This is a game I made for all the point-and-clicks fans out there, like you and me, so I'm very happy you appreciated it
To answer your "questions":

- I'll never go back to sprites!
There was a time when I thought they were my only option, that's why I used them.
After this game, many other users said my drawings can improve, but all in all it seems they're decent enough for you people to enjoy my games, and I'll definitely try better next time.

- Don't think my next game will be another point-and-click game.
I mean, I'll surely make another one in the future, but for now I'm working on two very different projects: an interactive comics series, called "Zombie Society", and a martial arts oriented rpg settled in feudal Japan, that will be titled "Grim Ronin" - the spiritual sequel of another game I made years ago, called "Street Fighter LoA".
Feel free to like my facebook page if you're interested in these games, too, or follow me here on Newgrounds!

Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with this very nice review, and thanks for playing!

nice game, cool character design, and a nice gameplay/deisgn overall, but there should also be an easier difficulty setting, because the game had TOO MANY traps crowded in once place, and even when i jumped fast enough and avoided most of the traps, i was eventuallu struck by the flying evil head-monster, that was running/chasing me too fast...

other than that, its good.
and yes, sisyphus is quite an interesting character in greek mythology...
he is a guy that cheated death many times, and as such, he has been punished by hades to push a rock into a high hill, and then the rock falls back in the ground, and he has to push the huge rock back at the top again...
a sad, but amazing story.

you drew the characters/traps/game over screen nicely. i like his face expression.

nice game, sir!

CannedGoblin93 responds:

Thank you so much that's nicest comment I got :) I really appreciate it. I did tried fix the problems before I had to submit it to my lecturer, but I ran out of time :'( originally I tried to fix the ground spawned and the demonic animaltronic characters were going to have mystery power ups and the sword was going to be used to destroy the saws. I wish I had more programming knowledge and time. Thank again :) all problems will be fixed in my RPG game :D

a really nice and helpful guide for drawing clocks in an epic style.
your movie/game was a helpful tool in order for someone to be initiated with the mysteries of the clockcrew!

great job sir, thanks for adding me in!
happy clockday!

wow, this game, once again, brings me alot of memories!
i played this game alot earlier than 2006, it was on 2001, or 2002, if my memory is correct.
i remember playing this game on another site, and i was like ''wow, this game is AWESOME! and those characters are cool!'' and i replayed this game a couple of times, and later on that day, i clicked on the link of newgrounds at the end of the game, and i visited newgrounds, for the first time!

then i left NG on mid-2002, and i came back on 2003, and i started to watch movies and games, until i finally got the decision to join up on 2006, ironically the year when this 2000-game got resubmitted into the portal.

oh man, back then this was an epic game for me, the music, the intro, the ''three people, one room, six chambers'' motto, it was a quite awesome prelude to a really cool game.
ofcourse nowadays this game wouldn't go well with the politically correct audience/mindset, but i still consider it a good and funny game in all honesty.

also, i liked how each character/player had his/her own character traits/attitude.
for example, nene was very odd, since she was sucking the revolver in her mouth like a... hoe?
it always made me laugh, it was so crazy!
darnel was positioning the gun in a strange angle in his mouth, almost like he wanted to avoid the russian roulette shot,
and pico, oh man, pico showed extreme ballsiness(or insanity? maybe both) by clicking the gun, twice. and provoking his opponent in a way of showing no fear whatsoever.
ofcourse he died alot more often because that was a stupid move....

but i always enjoyed playing this game. heck, i even replayed it just now, after so many years!
you always do nice games tom! even the old crazy games of 2000!

well, this was a very well-designed, well-drawn and well programmed game, and i like it alot, because this is the game that introduced me in newgrounds.
it might have been a ''bloody'' first experience, but i found many good things in here!

TomFulp responds:

Thanks! It was a fun game to make. :)

wow, i remember playing this on NG as a guest/lurker on 2002.
this game has nice graphics (if you consider that it was made on 2001, and that is is has a good, grotesque resemblance to the HP's face...hehe)
i do wonder what were you thinking when you made this, because it very random and wierd, but it certainly was creative and original!
smoking birds and squirrels, and many more!
remember kids, NEVER smoke gunz, they are lethal, lol

also the smoking ''glue'' part was quite funny as well.

a good game overall, and it brought me back memories of the odd era of newgrounds, back when the assasin games and the ''club a seal'' game were the most popular.

TomFulp responds:

I really have no idea what I was thinking when I made this... I think I just wanted it to be really creepy.
